Konteks50:10 Who among you fears the Lord?
Who obeys 1 his servant?
Whoever walks in deep darkness, 2
without light,
should trust in the name of the Lord
and rely on his God.
Yesaya 56:6
Konteks56:6 As for foreigners who become followers of 3 the Lord and serve him,
who love the name of the Lord and want to be his servants –
all who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it,
and who are faithful to 4 my covenant –
[50:10] 1 tn Heb “[who] listens to the voice of his servant?” The interrogative is understood by ellipsis (note the preceding line).
[50:10] 2 tn The plural indicates degree. Darkness may refer to exile and/or moral evil.
